Thank you, Kamloops!
The Second Annual Muse A-Fair was amazing and we appreciate your support.
And thank you,
Muses of Kamloops!
Truly what an honour it is to get to 'hang with you."

compliments of Alexa Larksong!

There is a community of kindred spirits
in Kamloops…
Each are mortals who have chosen to live their inspired life,
to explore their passions and joys,
and to honour the creative spirit within.
They met through coursework with ‘Musings and Mud’ and each have evolved into Inspiring Muses..
The Muse A-Fair is a show, sale and play event
that will bring inspiration (and amazing gifts!) into your life.
From unique arts and crafts to learning about nature, to community projects to the written word….. and more.
We are breaking the boundaries of what ‘creativity’ is..
Come see. Come play.
Come be inspired.
Come Christmas shopping
for uniquely wonderful gifts!
THE COLLABORATIVE MUSE A-FAIR STATEMENT:
Once upon a time there were 18 mortals bogged down by the usual “busy-ness” of life. Every so often, they noticed a niggling, tickling feeling deep inside, pushing to escape. One day they each decided to explore what this feeling might be and went in search of a guide.
They were delighted to find a fun, creative woman named Janet at Musings and Mud Studio, who helped them find the maps that each of them held inside, ready to lead them on their journeys into self-discovery.
They found themselves at a magnificent door. Beyond this door was a magical box filled with tools to help them reveal what had been hiding inside them for so long.
The mortals played with these tools and revealed unique truths, talents, and their creative spirits. This play also led to even greater discoveries, such as if they chiselled away at self doubt, fear and criticism they were left with wonderful masterpieces. They realised they were each their own Muse, which means they did not need outside gods to inspire them; they had this spark inside all along!
In joy and wonder, they grabbed hold of their inspirations and the 18 mortals emerged into the universe to share their new found knowledge with other possibly bogged down mortals at the first annual Muse A-Fair. From painting to jewellery, to glass works and photography, sculptures to wood works, to creative writing to Reiki, clay to soap, to paper mosaics and duct tape creations, music to nature, to books and funcrafting…there is so much to explore at The Muse-A-Fair, where 18 mortals-turned-Muses are eager to share their creations, talents, and masterpieces!
.
Twenty three inspired muses will share their passions at this Show, Sale and Share event. Including:
-
a unique variety of arts and crafts, from glass, painting, clay, collage, photography, soap making and published works.
-
Some muses will share their passions to community work including helping children to become writers, or connecting people with nature.
-
Others will share interactive music and storytelling activities.
-
We'll be fundraising with a draw by donation for amazing gift baskets to assist our Muse-who-needs-some-help, Cheryl Hajiz, on her healing journey from cancer.
-
Muses backgrounds vary from having many years experience in their field and showing their works in Chicago, New York and Toronto galleries - to newly discovered and published in an international magazine - to creating businesses from their passion - to first time officially sharing their passions!
These kindred souls have all connected through coursework with creativity coach Janet Whitehead, and have carried on to be inspirations to all who come to see and hear their stories.
Come hear their stories, savour their wares, bask in a multitude of unique gift and discovery items!
