The Age of Creativity has arrived. Get on board.
As we transition from the Age of Information to the Age of Conceptualization and Creativity, providing awareness, support and encouragement to 'think differently' is more valuable than ever.
Our workshops provide innovative tools that help participants understand and implement lateral creative thinking. For participants who are naturally 'right brain' creative thinkers, they will learn ways to transfer those skills into actions.
Workshops for Youth:
As an advocate for youth, Janet has come to understand that the minds of youth are unique, brilliant ,,,and very different from the minds of a child or an adult. Given a safe space to explore their way of thinking, youth will discover they have a powerful tool within themselves for planning, making choices, and creatively moving forward.
Workshops for youth incorporate creative techniques and are designed to fit the needs and purpose of the youth group. From individual goal setting to empowering youth to be leaders, from learning tools for discovery and decision making to experiencing unique ways to lighten up and reduce stress - Janet's workshops first and foremost empower youth to recognize and build on their strengths, passions and gifts. Janet's rapport with youth is excellent – whether it be high-risk youth or candidates for ambassador programs. Janet considers it an honour to work with youth.
Janet's background with youth include empowering youth to:
• Form a community wide youth group to speak out for the needs of youth,
• Host large events of up to 1200 youth.
• Plan and implement and present workshops to Youth Coordinators on a provincial level, to help youth workers better understand the perspective and needs of youth.
• Plan, fundraise for and build a tournament standard skatepark.
Janet has presentations for youth have included: TRU, Young Woman's Conference, Miss Kamloops Ambassador program, and workshops for families.

Testimonial:
Janet Whitehead was a guest facilitator for the 2009 Job Finding Club at Thompson Rivers University. Janet facilitated a two hour workshop for 10 international students from a variety of countries. She focussed on wellness during the job seearch, specifically on creative ways to reduce stress. She involved participants by facilitating a variety of interactive activities including a creative visualization process which students reported as a fascinating and positive experience.
We received excellent feedback from the students and believe that the workshop was successful at introducing stress management techniques. Janet was very warm, caring and dispalyed professionalism and a great sense of humour.
It was a pleasure inviting Janet into our classroom and we look forward to working with her again.
